Sometimes You Just Have To Paint To Recharge

Michael Lodge

I just returned this week from South Carolina. My home is up in Pickens at the base of the Blue Ridge mountains, and the old house needs a lot of work. So I bought my paint, brushes, drop cloth, and started to paint. I was doing quite well until it started to rain and the temperature dropped. Painting you move in a lot of directions that the body is not use to, especially if you work in an office.

Stiffness is a sad thing to get, it got harder to move around. However, the best part of painting is you forget about everything else. You become focused on each missed spot, each corner, each wall, and not dripping paint on your shoes. The focus is different and refreshing. All of us need a break from life’s things, find your time to break. Refresh yourself.
