I have been thinking a lot about WallMart. In fact I have even had arguments with people on the left who feel WM does too much damage to communities. But I have seen a different WM who may be the only store around for miles in very rural communities. When my mother passed away in her rural cimmunity in South Carolina, WM sent her flowers. The local bank where she did business sent no flowers, not even the doctors that cared for her. But WM found out and sent flowers. WM might be a giant but in small rural communities they are just another community business. A rural community provides a sense of community, friendships are built, people take care of each other, church families are formed, and yes – even WallMart shows heart.
