Final Month Of The Year In Reflection

1st day of December, just a few more days it will be Christmas and a New Year. 2016 went zooming and it was a year of challenges for me on a personal level. A year that had a crisis and yet today I am still here, still surviving, and still have faith to go forward. In reflection I can tell you that if anything hits you hard you can still survive and do even greater things. John F. Kennedy said this about crisis, “The Chinese use two brush strokes to write the word ‘crisis.’ One brush stroke stands for danger; the other for opportunity. In a crisis, be aware of the danger–but recognize the opportunity.” Live by those words and you can get through anything.

So we end the year in these final days and we begin a new year with full of hope and work to get done.  2017 is supposed to be my year, in the Chinese calendar it is the year of the Rooster.  And the first words for my year is that I have to work hard.  But when you work hard you can accomplish great things.  I look forward to doing great things in 2017 and beyond.  The words I am supposed to live by as a Rooster for 2017 is the following:  I am alert, Ready to take action, The first on the scene, The last to leave, I take chances, But I am precise, I know where things belong, I am orderly and fastidious, Nothing escapes me, I am always prepared, I never give up or in, I AM THE ROOSTER!  Honestly, I think if we all adopted this Rooster focused mentality, we will all do great things.

As we prepare for the new year, get your finances in order, sit down with your tax professional and do some end of year tax planning, and attack 2017 with a vengeance.  Most important, spend quality time with your family and friends and look forward to a new start in 2017.
