JUST A NOTE ON CANCER: Last night I attended the concert-fund raiser for “We Can Survive” to fight cancer. It was a great concert that included so many well-known music artists that made the evening fund and worthwhile. Of course my favorites last night was Bruno Mars and Pitbull, they really know how to entertain and get the people on their feet. This is the fourth year of this benefit and it will be held again next year. So next year get on your feet and attend, great entertainment and great cause. http://radio.com/…/09/12/bruno-mars-headline-we-can-survive/
Over the past year our firm has lost four clients to cancer. We have two clients right now in remission and surviving. Now we have two clients, we call them the Armador Sisters, they are family to us. Every year their whole family and friends come in on a special Saturday just for them. We close down the office just for them and we eat a whole lot of food while they get their taxes done. We also laugh a lot. These are clients that we consider family because they have been with our firm for so many years. But like family we always have these two sisters in our prayers that they can survive. So benefits like “We Can Survive” are so important to raise enough awareness and funding to support the research and cure of cancer. The next time you can participate in a benefit or fund-raising drive, or just to sit down and talk with a cancer survivor – do it. Get involved.
