My Old Snarly Orange Tree and Love

by Rev. Michael Lodge

Over the years this snarly old orange tree has been in my back yard.  It has shown me a lot of love in providing me with the best sweat oranges ever.  This year it is not producing,  perhaps I have not given it my all in taking care of it, I didn’t show it love like I should have.  So I hired a person to nurse it back, and I will take better care of it – show it love.

In our lives we have a lot of old trees that we have forgotten to show loves, we have friends we have put to the side.  Time to show love.

I love that in the book of Corinthians it says –

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 Love never fails.

Show some love today.  It is really easy to do.
